2-3 April 2019 - Aleevar Consulting had the privilege to attend a Cagamas & World Bank Group event called "Constructing and Financing Affordable Housing across Asia" at Sasana Kijang. Several topics were being discussed during the event such as Malaysian current affairs, challenges and opportunities in Asia, Fintech assistance, connecting capital market, green and sustainable concept, and Islamic housing finance.
However, there are two key topics that managed to grab our interest from the event: a proper utilization of waqf land for affordable housing, and community-led housing development adopted by neighboring countries.
